Hierve el agua means something like "The water boils" in English. It is named like that because of some little waterholes where the water flows like it was boiling, but it isn't hot, it's just the way it looks when it flows. That's the reason for such an uncommon name. The place consists mainly in some petrified waterfalls, one of them has kind of a natural pool on top of it. That's where I took the pictures of my brothers swimming and having fun. The landscape is wonderful, and peaceful, you feel like you've discovered a nature's treasure in the middle of nowhere. You get there after a road trip through the mountains that t'ss all worth it. If you ever go, these are my only 3 suggestions:

1.- Go dressed nicely :P you'll have unique pictures so you don't want to look bad. By the pictures, you know that we didn't know that beforehand.

2.- Take a mosquito repellent with you. There are many tiny mosquitos that will leave you with many unpleasant mosquito bites if you don't go protected. My family and I learned (suffered!) the lesson.
3.- Arrive early! So you have nice pictures without any "undesirable" tourists ruining your shots.

Hierve el agua se llama así por algunos pequeños ojos de agua en los que el agua fluye como si estuviera hirviendo, pero no está caliente, solo pareciera que está hirviendo. El lugar consiste principalmente en unas cascadas petrificadas. Una de ellas tiene como una alberca natural encima, ahí es donde les tomé fotos a mis hermanos nadando y divirtiéndose. El paisaje es maravilloso y pacífico, se siente como que acabas de descubrir un tesoro de la naturaleza en medio de la nada. Se llega ahí después de un viaje por las montañas que vale toda la pena. Si alguna vez vas, estas son mis únicas tres sugerencias:

1.- Ve bien vestido! jaja, ahi tendrás fotos únicas así que no quieres verte mal, ¿verdad? Por las fotos puedes ver que nosotros no sabíamos esto de antemano.

 2.- Lleva un repelente de mosquitos. Hay muchos mosquitos chiquititos que te dejarán con muchos incómodos piquetes si no vas protegido. Mi familia y yo aprendimos (¡sufrimos!) la lección.
3.- ¡Llega temprano! Así tendrás fotos bonitas sin turistas estorbando :P
